Resources and Energy
The College has continuously focused on reducing energy use. As a designated government building under the energy-saving control system of the Department of Alternative Energy Development and Efficiency, it has prepared an annual energy management report since 2009, advised by experts from the Department. The College has announced an energy conservation and environmental policy, appointed an energy conservation and environment committee, and set energy-saving measures suited to its current context. It has repaired and switched electrical equipment to solar power, including street lights and fence lights, replaced lamps with energy-saving LEDs, and turned non-air-conditioned spaces in its buildings into open, airy areas decorated with plants where students can rest, relax and read.
The College shares knowledge on saving and conserving energy with staff and students through training and KM knowledge-sharing sessions, to review and continually remind everyone to keep reducing energy use.
